Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley is headed to see a doctor after his bullpen session on Wednesday was cut short.
The 29-year-old Billingsley underwent Tommy John surgery in April of 2013 and had been hopeful to join the Dodgers rotation soon. Instead his latest bullpen session was cut short and his elbow will be examined by Dr. Neal ElAtrache.
Mattingly said the Chad Billingsley had a setback throwing his pen. Will see Dr. ElAtrache again.

Billingsley has not played a full season since 2011. The Dodgers had scheduled him to pitch on Saturday in a minor league game, those plans are not on hold.
The Dodgers’ current rotation is Clayton Kershaw, Zack Greinke, Hyun-jin Ryu, Dan Haren and Josh Beckett.
