Matt Wieters has not played since May 10 and it is possible that the catcher may not play again in 2014.
FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal has spoken to two sources who say that Wieters’ throwing program is not going well and elbow surgery “looks increasingly likely.”
Another source told Rosenthal that it was too early to make any decisions and that Wieters has “good days and bad.”
…a third source says it is too early to make a determination, that #Orioles' Wieters is having good days and bad.

The Orioles may hold off on making a decision about surgery as Wieters would be a big improvement over Caleb Joseph and Nick Hundley who have been serving behind the plate in his absence.
In 26 games Wieters was hitting .308/.339/.500 with five home runs and 18 RBI.
