The Atlanta Braves are expecting right handed reliever Jordan Walden to return on Tuesday in Colorado.
Walden competed his second rehab appearance Sunday at Triple-A Gwinnett throwing a scoreless inning. Walden had two strikeouts and a walk in what proved to be a 4-2 win for Gwinnett.
“I felt good out there, hamstring felt good,” Walden said via the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “I didn’t have any issues with it again, so that was a positive. I walked the first guy and I wasn’t very happy with that. I didn’t feel like the command was there, but I battled through and got a couple strikeouts.”
Walden has missed a month of action dealing with a strained hamstring. When he returns to the majors he is expected to resume his duties in the seventh and eighth innings.
