Angels give up on 2010 first round pick Chevy Clarke

chevezclarke The Los Angeles Angels have given up on the 30th overall pick from the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft.

Drafted out of high school the now 22-year-old never made it past High-A ball.

The Angels had viewed Clarke as a five tool outfielder when they selected him in 2010. Instead he had struggled to a career .219/.306/.337 line with 23 home runs in 379 minor league games.
