The wait is over. Gregory Polanco will be called up to the major leagues by the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. Polanco broke the news himself on twitter telling the fans that he would see them tomorrow.
Polanco, 22, had performed well in the minors but his path to the majors had been delayed in part by the Pirates desire to prevent him from gaining Super-Two status. Once June arrived it was assumed that Polanco would be called up but that did not happen initially leaving many to wonder why.
The wait is over…. My dream has officially come true ⚾️ Pittsburgh, see you mañana!!
