Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton took roughly 100 swings in a batting cage on Wednesday.
The plan is for Hamilton to take on field batting practice on Thursday. Out since early April with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb, Hamilton has now been out of the Angels lineup due to a bone bruise.
While things appear to be going in the right direction neither the Angels nor Hamilton have set a return date.
#Angels Josh Hamilton said he took about 100 swings in the cage today. Will hit on field tomorrow. Went well.
