The discomfort in the right elbow of Baltimore Orioles catcher Matt Wiester’s elbow has been improving.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Wieters has reported improvement daily since a platelet-rich plasma injection on May 12. This is good news but no date has been set for Wieters to begin throwing.

A two-time All-Star, Wieters was hitting .308/.339/.500 with five home runs and 18 RBI in 26 games before hitting the DL.

In other Oriole news outfielder Nolan Reimold has continued to do baseball activities in Sarasota. He has been appearing in simulated games and will soon be able to advance to extended spring contests.
