The Cincinnati Reds could activate closer Aroldis Chapman as soon as this weekend.
Chapman has yet to appear at the big league level this season after taking a liner off the face near the end of spring training. Chapman will be promoted to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday after he struck out three in two scoreless innings with Class A Dayton on Monday.
Was told today Aroldis Chapman could return to Reds' active roster as early as this weekend. Remarkable progress. Great story.

It could be just a matter of days before Chapman returns to the closer spot for the Reds. The good news for the Reds is that he was already hitting triple digits on the radar gun.
Chapman has saved 38 games in each of the last two seasons. A year ago he had a 2.54 ERA and a 1.4 WHIP in 63 2/3 innings of work.
