The Toronto Blue Jays will recall infielder Chris Getz prior to Tuesday’s game.
Getz will take the roster spot of Ryan Goins who will head to Triple-A Buffalo.
While playing 18 games at Buffao, Getz was hitting .309/.382/.338 with nine RBI and six stolen bases. Getz figures to get a good look at second base with the Blue Jays.
Goins was doing himself no favors of keeping his job at second base as he was hitting just .150/.203/.217 thus far.
Jonathan Diaz will also see some time at second with Goins out of the picture.
