Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley has been slowed in his return to the major leagues. On Wednesday he will receiver a platelet rich injection in his right elbow with the plan to resume throwing next week.

Recently Billingsley was diagnosed with tendinitis. The Dodgers had hoped to have Billingsley return by mid-May.

Chicago Cubs picher Jake Arrieta will have one more rehab start before he returns to the majors.

Arrieta threw 94 pitches in his last start but the Cubs want to see a little more before they recall him.

“I felt really good,” Arrieta said of his last start. “I was uncomfortable throughout the first couple [innings] but settled in nicely as things went on and started to feel like I knew how to get some of those guys out. I got to 94 pitches and that was where the mark was and I feel really good today.”

A season ago Arrieta compiled 14 starts between the Baltimore Orioles and the Cubs finishing with a 4.78 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP.
