Major League Baseball partners with Match.com

Baseball fans across the United States can now rejoice. They no longer have to worry about finding the girl or guy of their dreams is pulling for the opposition.

Match.com announced on Thursday that it is launching fan pages for all 29 U.S. teams which will allow it’s users to connect with singles who are also fans of those clubs.

According to the Associated Press, Match.com President Amarnath Thombre said the first question self-identified Yankees fans often ask of singles on the site is: “Who hates the Red Sox?”

Major League Baseball is hoping that the partnership will somehow lead to an increase of ticket sales.

“The idea is put like people together with similar interest and passion,” MLB Advanced Media’s Noah Garden said. “There’s still always room for more butts in the seats.”

Thank goodness. I would hate to imagine that people would have to give up on love simply because they liked different baseball teams.
