Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez says his shoulder feels better

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez says that his sore shoulder is feeling better.

“I started feeling it two days ago,” he said through an interpreter via CSN Philly. “It just popped up. I felt a pinch.”

There has been no indication by the Phillies or Gonzale as to when he may pitch again this spring.

Gonzalez has not lived up to expectations this spring after signing a three-year deal worth $12 million in the offseason. The Cuban defector is still in camp but looks to be on the outside of a spot in the rotation.

With time running out, the Phillies would be wise to give him some time at Triple-A before calling him up.
