Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kris Medlen has been diagnosed with a right forearm strain.
Medlen, 28, will be evaluated by the Braves on Monday after New York Mets team doctor Strauan Coleman examined him on Sunday.
The right hander could be seen rubbing his elbow after his second-to-last pitch. He quickly left the mound and went into the clubhouse one pitch later.

It is anyone’s guess what the Braves find on Monday. If he does start the season on the disabled list it could mean that both Freddy Garcia and Alex Wood begin the season in the teams rotation.
Medlen made 32 appearances last season posting a 3.11 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP across 197 innings of work.
