The Baltimore Orioles have not hid the fact that they would like to sign shortstop J.J. Hardy to an extension.
While it’s unclear if the two sides have advanced in talks this winter, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun notes that the two sides met last week.
The #Orioles had face-to-face meeting with JJ Hardy's representation re: initiating extension talks 3-4 days ago. Hardy is FA after this yr.

Hardy is coming off a season in which he won the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger thanks largely to 25 home runs and 76 RBI in 159 games.
The 31-year-old Hardy joined the Orioles in 2011. He will become a free agent at the end of this season.
