The St. Louis Cardinals will have Adam Wainwright take the mound on Opening Day against the Cincinnati Reds.
While the decision may have been obvious, it still needed to become official. Last season Wainwright was second in the Cy Young voting for the National League. He finished the season 19-9 with a 2.94 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP.
