The New York Yankees were expected to go after Japanese pitcher Masahiro Tanaka and on Wednesday they landed him.
Tanaka will get $155 million over a seven-year deal from the Yankees. The deal also includes an opt out clause after the fourth-year.
The Yankees needed Tanaka and they got him: 7 years, $155m., with an opt-out after the fourth year.

Other teams who were known to be seeking the 27-year-old right hander included the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels.
