The New York Mets avoided arbitration with outfielder Eric Young Jr.

Young Jr. and the Mets have agreed to a one-year deal worth $1.85 million in his first year of arbitration.

Last season the 28-year-old Young hit .249/.310/.336 while scoring 70 runs and leading the National League with 46 stolen bases.

For those playing fantasy baseball, Young will remain an interesting option on the Mets because of his steals.
