The Baltimore Orioles backed out of a two-year deal with reliever Grant Balfour earlier this offseason.
It was initially believed that the Orioles backed out of the deal over concerns with Balfour’s shoulder. Buster Onley hears from sources that the Orioles were concerned about the right handers wrist and knee.
Balfour has received only scant interest since the deal fell about and the Orioles appear willing to try in house options.
