The Los Angeles Dodgers and manager Don Mattingly have agreed to an extension.
Mattingly lead the Dodgers to the NLCS last season thanks in part to a 42-8 run at one point. The Dodgers triggered a one-year extension in Mattingly’s deal when they advanced to the NLCS. That extension was worth $1.4 million.
With no more extensions, Mattingly’s deal was set to expire at the end of the 2014 season. He previously had expressed a desire to not enter the season as a lame duck coach.
