Orioles interested in Francisco Rodriguez?

Now that the Baltimore Orioles have backed away from a two-year offer to Grant Balfour the team is in search of a closer yet again.

While the Orioles are reportedly not interested in former Cleveland closer Chris Perez they could be in on the return of Francisco Rodriguez in addition to Fernando Rodney reports the Baltimore Sun.

The Orioles picked up Rodriguez last season but did not appear to have any interest in bringing in back for the 2014 season. Now with closer options becoming limited they may see Rodriguez as a candidate to occupy a spot at the back of the bullpen.

Rodriguez posted a 4.50 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 22 innings this past summer with the Orioles after arriving in a mid-season trade from Milwaukee.

Currently Tommy Hunter and Ryan Webb are the favorites for saves in Baltimore but neither has the experiences of K-Rod.
