Chavez, 36, had another solid bouceback season in 2013 hitting .281/.332/.478 with nine home runs and 44 RBI in 80 games with the Diamondbacks.

There were other teams interested in Chavez but he opted to stay at home in the Phoenix area. He should see time at both corner infield spots in 2014.
