The Atlanta Braves have added Ryan Doumit from the Minnesota Twins.

Doumit, 32, finished the 2013 season with a .247/.314/.396 with 14 home runs and 55 RBI. The Braves will assume all of the $3.5 million owed to Doumit.

In order to get the versatile Doumit the Braves traded away Sean Gilmartin. The left handed Gilmartin, 23, was the first round pick of the Braves in 2011. He will likely be ticketed for Triple-A for most, if not all, of the 2014 season.

Gilmartin finished 2013 with a 3-8 record in 17 starts with a 5.74 ERA and 1.59 WHIP.
