The Seattle Mariners continue to seek out the services of free agent second baseman Robinson Cano.

Cano and the Mariners are meeting Thursday and apparently the team let him know that they would be willing to give him a nine-year deal worth $225 million.

Thus far the Yankees have reportedly been reluctant to go beyond a seven-year deal worth $175 million.

New York would appear as a more marketable destination for Cano and Roc Nation but if the Mariners are willing to outspend by $50 million they could land Cano.
