I have to admit Willie Bloomquest is not someone I expected to sign a two-year deal.
In fact I would not have been surprised to see Bloomquist latch on to a team with a minor league deal. Instead the 36-year-old was signed to a two-year deal by the Seattle Mariners.

A deal between Bloomquist and the Mariners was first announced on Monday.
Under terms of Bloomquist’s new deal he will make $5.8 million over the net two seasons as a utility player for the Mariners.
Bloomquist appeared in just 48 games for the Arizona Diamondbacks lat season hitting .317/.360/.367 with 14 RBI. In his career Bloomquist is a .271/.320/.346 hitter and is best known for his glove.
