Roy Oswalt has eyes set on big league deal

Roy Oswalt intends to continue his big league career and wants to do so with a guaranteed contract.

Oswalt, 36, has struggled over the last two seasons compiling a 6.80 ERA. In order to play during the 2014 season the right hander is reportedly open to pitching in relief.

Multiple teams are said to have contacted Oswalt but his demands for a big league deal have likely stalled any progress. If Oswalt does land a big league deal it is likely to be full of incentives. He remains an encouraging buy-low option.

Owalt spent the 2013 season with the Colorado Rockies after joining the team during mid-season.
