The Colorado Rockies have signed veteran relief pitcher LaTroy Hawkins to a one-year deal worth $2.25 million.
Hawkins spent the 2012 season with the New York Mets. In his 19th season of action in the major leagues Hawkins finished with a 2.93 ERA and 1.17 WHIP over 72 games totaling 70.2 innings of work. He also notched 13 saves.

The level of success Hawkins may experience in Colorado is questionable but his addition should stabilize the back end of the bullpen for the Rockies.
