Major League Baseball umpire Wally Bell has passed away after suffering a heart attack on Monday. He was 48.
Bell recently worked in the National League Division Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates. He had spent 21 years as a big-league umpire beginning in 1993.
As a big league umpire, Bell worked the 2006 World Series and seven Divison Series, three League Championship Series and three All-Star Games.
Bell leaves behind two children.
