Tampa Bay Rays at Cleveland Indians: AL Wild Card game, probables and tv info

The Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians will meet on Wednesday Oct. 2 in a one game AL Wild Card game at Progressive Field.

Waiting the winner for an ALDS match-up will be the Boston Red Sox.

Coverage of this game will air on TBS beginning at 8:00 pm ET with ESPN Radio broadcasting for those who will listen to the game on the radio. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown 8:07 pm ET.

Alex Cobb will be pitching for the Rays. Cobb was 11-3 with a 2.76 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 22 starts this season.

Danny Salazar will take to the mound for the Indians. Salarzar made 10 starts this season going 2-3 with a 3.12 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP.

“It’s been a long time since Cleveland’s had something like this,” Indians first baseman Nick Swisher said after Cleveland clinched the Wild Card spot on Sunday. “I hope the fans are as excited as we are.”

Progressive Field is sold out for Wednesday’s game.
