One of the remaining cogs from Charlie Manuel’s tenure as manager of the Philadelphia Phillies has been let go.

Pitching coach Rich Dubee will not be the Phillies pitching coach in 2014.

Dubee had served as the Phillies pitching coach for nine seasons and had much success in the position but a dismal 2013 staff and a new manager in Ryne Sandberg made this an obvious move.

The Phillies had a 4.32 ERA in 2013 ranking them 27th in the league.
