The Baltimore Orioles added Scott Feldman mid-season in hopes of seeing him at the front end of a post season rotation. Those dreams were not realized in 2013 but according to MASN the two sides have mutual interest in working out an extension.
Feldman is set to become a free agent following a season that saw him post a 3.86 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and record a 132/56 K/BB ratio in 181 2/3 innings of work for the Chicago Cubs and Orioles.
There figures to be a sizable market for Feldman but the Orioles will get first shot for him and would appear to have a leg up unless another team opts to overpay the 30-year-old right hander.
