The Colorado Rockies have given retiring first baseman Todd Helton a horse.
While Mariano Rivera has gone around collecting gifts at each stop this season, other retiring players have not received such fanfare. Todd Helton, the best of the rest, may have gotten a gift that tops all of the ones received by Rivera.

The Rockies presented Helton with the horse prior to his last game at Coors field on Wednesday night. Which begs the question: Why does it seem that every retiring great does it on the road?

The Rockies reported that 48,775 were in attendance for Helton’s last game at Coors.
Helton did not disapoint in his finale. He went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run, driving in three in the Rockies loss.
