Cliff Lee did it all on Monday night for the Philadelphia Phillies as they pummeled the Miami Marlins 12-2.
Lee struck out 14 batters in eight innings of work allowing just two runs to score. The 14 strikes outs were two short of his career high of 16 recorded in May 2011.
He also produced at the plate.
Lee had a two-run single in the third, an RBI triple in the fifth and then an RBI single in the seventh. The four runs tonight were more then he had the rest of the season combined.
With the win, Lee is now 14-6 with a 2.95 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP.
