The Pittsburgh Pirates may be getting Jason Grilli back soon.
On Wednesday the 36-year-old reliever threw a 25-pitch simulated game. With no complaints thus far the right hander should head to Double-A Altoona this weekend.
Grilli sim game went well. If feels fine after 2 days of rest, will make Altoona rehab appearance on Saturday. #pirates

The Pirates could have Grilli back in their bullpen in less then two weeks.
An All-Star this season, Grilli collected 30 saves with a 2.34 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP in 45 games for the Pirates before suffering a forearm injury.
