The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed veteran relief pitcher Kyle Farnsworth to a minor league contract.
Farnsworth, 37, has been assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Released by the Rays last week after compiling a 5.76 ERA over 39 games the 15-year veteran will hope to join the Pirates by September.
