The Tampa Bay Rays and former player Delmon Young have what “appears to be mutual interest” in reuniting according to the Tampa Bay Times Marc Topkin.
What Young, 27, would provide to the Rays lineup is debatable since he was hitting just .261/.302/.397 prior to being placed on release waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Rays are looking for another right-handed bat and Young would be inexpensive so a reunion at least makes sense on paper. Young will be able to sign with anyone after Saturday.
