Tim Lincecum allowed just one hit over eight innings in Thursday’s win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Lincecum strick out eight and walked one in the contest recording eight outs via the ground ball and eight fly-ball outs. The only hit came off the bat of Juan Francisco in the third inning.
There was some talk that Lincecum would be moved at the trade deadline but those rumors proved to be false. The Giants are last in the NL West but a strong second half by Lincecum would go a long ways to cementing his rotation spot in 2014.
