The Seattle Mariners have shut down reliever Stephen Pryor for the remainder of the 2013 season.

Pryor, 24, underwent an MRI which revealed that he had a tear in his right triceps. The Mariners expect to have him ready for spring training next year.

This year Pryor only made seven appearances out of the bullpen and has been shutdown since mid-April.

Last year Pryor appeared in 26 games amassing a 3.91 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP in 23 innings of work.
