The Toronto Blue Jays have placed relief pitcher Steve Delabar on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder inflammation.
Delabar, 30, was the fan vote selectee for the All-Star Game and had a 2.90 ERA and 75 strike outs in 49 2/3 innings of work this season.
It is unclear how long Delabar will be out with the inflammation in his right shoulder but the Blue Jays do not figure to rush him back. Delabar allowed three runs in an inning of work Friday night prior to hitting the disabled list.
