Jake Peavy is headed to the Boston Red Sox according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

The White Sox scratched Peavy from his scheduled start on Tuesday and now have traded him. There is no word just yet who would be going to Chicago in return for Peavy but the trade also involves Detroit. Jose Iglesias could be headed to Detroit with Avisail Garcia headed to the White Sox.

Peavy, 32, has made 13 starts this season and owns a 4.28 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP. Peavy is owed $14.5 million in 2014 and has an option for the 2015 season at $15 million.

The Red Sox are still in the process of reviewing Peavy’s medical records so the deal is not expected to be officially announced until Wednesday morning reports Mark Gonzalez of the Chicago Tribune.

Iglesias, 23, was hitting .330/.377/.410 in 62 games for the Red Sox. He would fill the void created by the expected suspension of Jhonny Peralta. While Iglesias has put up good numbers for the Red Sox this season he is a .257/.307/.314 hitter in four minor league seasons.

Garcia, 22, has appeared in 30 games this year for the Tiger hitting .241/.273/.373 with two home runs and 10 RBI. His minor league numbers this season are though the roof hitting .387/.428/.571 with six home runs and 27 RBI in 38 games across two levels.

Additional names are expected to be added to this deal.
