It could be a ploy to drum up more interest in the 32 year old right-hander, but the Chicago White Sox are now saying that they will keep Jake Peavy, and “build around him.”

Peavy has been rumored to be heading to several teams, including the Braves, Rangers, and Athletics over the past several days. Peavy is scheduled to pitch for the Sox on Tuesday.
Peavy is still under contract for $14.5 million in 2014 and has a $15 million player option for 2015.
