The Tampa Bay Rays acquired relief pitcher Jesse Crain from the Chicago White Sox on Monday.
Crain, 32, is currently on the disabled list with a shoulder strain but is hopeful to return to action before too long.
In 36 2/3 innings of work this season Crain has a 0.74 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP.
Tampa Bay has given up future considerations to the White Sox in order to get the deal done reports Joel Sherman. These considerations undoubtedly are dependent on the health of Crain.
