Not only is Derek Jeter back in the lineup for the New York Yankees on Sunday but the 39-year-old is playing shortstop.
Jeter appeared in one game this season before injuring his quad. In that game he appeared in the DH spot.
In order to make room for Jeter on their 25-man roster the Yankees placed Travis Hafner on the disabled list.
Last season Jeter hit .316/.362/.429 with 15 home runs, 58 RBI and 99 runs scored.
