The Washington Nationals have placed pitcher Dan Haren on the disabled list with shoulder inflammation.

Haren, 32, has made 15 starts for the Nationals. In Haren’s last start on Saturday he went 3 1/3 innings allowing seven hits and six runs. Haren has struggled this season since signing a one-year $13 million contract over the winter.

Overall Haren has a 4-9 record, a 6.15 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP. The Nationals are planning on having him back around the All-Star break.

Tyler Moore has been called up to take his spot on the active roster and eventually the Nationals figure to call up Taylor Jordan to fill his rotation spot.

Jordan has a 1.00 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP across two levels of the minors. He most recently has been pitching at Double-A Harrisburg where he has a 0.83 ERA and holds a 43/9 K/BB ratio.
