The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed slumping center fielder Matt Kemp on the disabled list. Kemp has landed on the 15-day disabled list due to a right hamstring strain.
Tim Federowicz was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to take Kemp’s place on the Dodgers roster.
Kemp was injured while running down a double in right-center by Mike Trout in Wednesday night’s 4-3 loss to the Angels.
A two-time All-Star, Kemp is batting just .251 on the season and has just two home runs and 17 RBI in 51 games.
