Dodgers starting pitcher Ted Lilly was activated from the disabled list on Monday. The left hander will be available for use out of the Dodgers pen on Tuesday but manager Don Mattingly is hopeful that the next time Lilly takes the mound will be on Saturday against St. Louis.
Lilly last pitched on April 29 against Colorado. On the season the 37-year-old is 0-1 with a 5.63 ERA and a 2.25 WHIP in two starts.
In order to activate Lilly the Dodgers optioned Matt Magill to Triple-A Albuquerque. Magill made four starts for the Dodgers and avoided a decision despite a 5.50 ERA.
