Kris Medlen did not get the win on Saturday night but the Braves starter held the Dodgers to one unearned run over seven innings of work in a 3-1 win.

Cory Gearrin took over for Medlen in the eighth and earned the win after the Braces scored three in the bottom of the inning.

Evan Gattis hit a two run home run off of Kenley Jansen in the eighth inning to give the Braves the lead. Andrelton Simmons would add a solo shot later in the inning.
