The St. Louis Cardinals have placed Jaime Garcia on the 15-day disabled list. Garcia has a strained left shoulder.
Garcia has been having varying trouble with his shoulder for the past year and will head to Dr. James Andrews to get some answers. Given the circumstances surgery could be the prescribed course.
Mitchell Boggs has been called up by the Cardinals to take the roster spot of Garcia. Michael Wacha could get called up when the Cardinals get to Garcia’s turn in the rotation.
