The Atlanta Braves continued their torrid start on Wednesday with a convincing victory over the hapless Miami Marlins.

Aided by home runs off the bats of Evan Gattis and Juan Francisco, Braves starter Mike Minor won his second game of the season. Minor lasted 5 2/3 innings allowing five hits and a walk while striking out four.

Gattis was a key to the Braves fifth inning which produced six runs. The third home run off the rookies bat came with two on base. Two batters later Francisco hit a two run shot of his own. It was one of three hits on the night for Fancisco who upped his average to .321 on the year.

Given a start in center field, Jordan Schafer scored twice while delivering four hits in his five at-bats. Schafer won a spot on the Braves bench during spring training after spending last season with the Houston Astros.
