The Florida Marlins likely saw the addition of Kevin Kouzmanoff to the organization as an option at Triple-A. Instead the 31-year-old infielder is putting on a power display this spring.
Kouzmanoff hit his third home run of the spring on Tuesday, combined with his three doubles he now has a .400 batting average.
Reading too much into spring training numbers is always dangerous especially when it comes to players who have a career .255/.300/.420 line and have been more of an asset with their glove.
Still the Marlins have a lot worse options on a team that is headed for the cellar in the NL East.
