Tim Lincecum scratched from another spring start

timlincecumTim Lincecum has been scratched from his scheduled start today. It will be the second consecutive spring start that the 28-year-old has missed.

Lincecum has been dealing with a blister on his pitching hand but should be ready to go in a couple of days.

In his first spring start Lincecum struggled allowing three runs and four hits in 1 1/3 innings.

The Giants will hope for better in his next start as they hope he improves on his numbers from last season.

Lincecum finished the 2012 season with 15 losses, the most in the NL. He compiled a 5.18 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. In the playoffs and World Series he was used primarily as a middle reliever.

UPDATE: Lincecum was able to throw a bullpen session and is expected to pitch on Saturday.
